1:00 PM
Last Tuesday, 31st of August, Nuffnang's GlitteratiPlus attended the Singapore City Pass Launch! ![]() Happy Glitterati Plus members hehehe Photo credit: Janessa Singapore City Pass is soooo cute and tiny! And it has many benefits too ^_^ Will describe more about it in this post. Most photos taken by me are not in good quality because my camera died on me =.=" So, some of the photos here are from Janessa, or the official photos! A sum up of the whole day City Tours celebrated the launch of the Singapore City Pass by providing a traveler experience for press and trade partners today. Truly rediscovering old and new Singapore, guests enjoyed a traveling experience with a running commentary provided by City Tours. Starting from the Singapore Flyer, guests enjoyed a scenic FunVee Bus Ride that covered the Marina Bay Sands, Double Helix Bridge, Lau Pa Sat to the Underwater World where they were further treated to a special Ukulele performance and dolphin show at the new Dolphin VIP suite. Guests were also led to use the Singapore City Pass at various locations where the SmarTap Tag technology was showcased. I woke up early and reached the Singapore Flyer at 9.30am and we were given the Singapore City Pass and a VIP tag :) Singapore City Pass! Small right! Can stick to somewhere convenient e.g.your phone Why can't ezlink be this small and cool *feels important* While waiting for the bus to bring us somewhere special, WE MUST TAKE PHOTOS! Photo credit: Janessa And we're gonna board the bus! I WAS SOOOO EXCITED!!!! Open top bus!!!! First time hehehehe Photo credit: Janessa So cool right! It's like ezlink but more useful and smaller and nicer looking! HAPPYYYYYYY WEEEEEEE Photo credit: Janessa Excited GlitteratiPlus members! And.. we're off! I thought it will be very hot but the wind makes the whole ride cool :) But still need to squint hehehe Photo credit: Janessa My earrings cute rightttt! Bought from GMarket, I think it was 50 cents that time? SOOOO CUTTEEE!!! Jan doesn't want the wind to mess up her hair Singapore flyerrrr!! Not a nice photo because the bus was moving fast and I'm not a pro hehehe Bloggers taking peektures! And MBS in the background Helix bridge So nice rightt!!! Look at the reflection, my sister said that it makes the building seem see-through. This was taken by my camera, and the next photo taken by my phone. Can see the difference in quality. Phone so lousy! Talllll buildings Not a clear photo, I wanted to take the SGX Centre building! SENTOSA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My dream house; a castle! FAIL ride After an amazing ride on the FunVee bus, we reached our Final Destination. UNDERWATER WORLDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I first got the invitation for this event, I was sooooo excited and happy because it's been a decade since I've been here. And I only have good memories of Underwater World so I was really looking forward to look at the fishhiieesss again! Before we enter, we tap our Singapore City Pass! Don't need to fuss with tickets and all! See? Can even paste it on your phone! WOOOHOOOO Ukulele performance playing for us! SOOO AWESOME! /feels important again We then reached the Dolphin VIPSuite! Photo credit: Janessa Soooo nice and cooling inside. Even have sofas leh OMG how cool is that! Photo credit: Janessa There was a banner to welcome us ^_^ Photo credit: Janessa And the Dolphin Show started! DOLPHINS ARE SOOOO CUTEEEEE AND ADORABLE! I even got to see pink dolphins. My lifelong dream sia Photo credit: Janessa Weeeeee Photo credit: Janessa SO CUTE RIGHT! I want to go again hehehe After the Dolphin Show, it was time for the press presentation delivered by Ang Eu Khoon, the Managing Director of City Tours, who presented the Singapore City Pass. You have seen photos of the Singapore City Pass. But what is it? It is a SmarTap Tag, and it offers a convenient way to explore Singapore, without the hassle of purchasing tickets or queuing! You know when you visit various places of attraction, you have to queue and buy tickets at EACH place? With the Singapore City Pass, you don't need to worry abt queuing and purchasing tickets! See More, Do More, Get More - The Singapore City Pass allow travellers to to better plan their own travel itinerary and appreciate the attractions at their own pace. Grappling with numerous admission tickets/cards and having to wait in line will be a thing of the past! Great Value, Hassle Free - It is presented in a sticker format, so it is easy to carry around! And it offers greater value through attractive bundling of a range of different packages and attractive prices in one "TAP". You can also select from different packages at over 45% cost savings!!! SO CONVENIENT THEN GET SAVINGS SOMEMORE OMG Functional and Aesthetic - The stamp-sized Singapore City Pass is an ultra-thin variant of the RFID which allows the locations to be loaded onto the SmarTap Tag according to self-tailored packaged selected by the consumer! You can stick it to your handphone or wrist so that you can easily tap it on any terminals at the current locations. With the Singapore City Pass, you can focus on enjoying yourself rather than worrying over the long queues, purchasing of tickets, etc LOL This blogpost really makes me want to tour Singapore! Ukulele performance adds to the perfection of this event! I was observing the dolphins swimming around with background music Photo credit: Janessa We were allowed to leave after that, but we wanted to tour around Underwater World! Was super funny, the girls all asked HP whether he allows us to walk around Underwater World, and when he said yes, we all screamed in excitement! There's a child in every GlitteratiPlus member! Underwater World has this "touch pool"! SO FUN CAN TOUCH FISHIESS!! I touched this! It's a bamboo shark. Can even touch starfish, porcupine fish, archerfish Then there's Ray of Fun where you can feed stingrays. THE STINGRAYS VERY BIG LEH!!! There's 5 species of Rays there. I didn't get to touch them because I was too scared hahaha /fail 18 year old These are called Garden Eels. I hate eels but GARDEN EELS ARE SOOO CUTE! My hand in a tank.. see next photo! This is a MAGIC-T! Stands for Mystical Anti Gravity Interactive Concept Tank. I only realize that the water didn't spill when I got home and see the photos! The water didn't flow out because the top of the tank is vacuum. If you know physics then you would understand why the water didn't flow out! I really wanted to touch the fishes but they wouldn't come to my hand! Or maybe because my fingers are too short to reach them LOL The fishes are soooo cute Photo credit: Janessa Then we went to this exhibit called "Living fossils". This exhibit is soooo freaky and creepy! And this fish is humongous! I went to find out more about this fish! It's called the ARAPAIMA and it is one of the world's largest freshwater fish! Can grow up to 3 metres long, and in its natural habitat, it will leap out of the water to grab birds off overhanging trees. (WTF imagine a fish that big jumping out of water. I'll get the shock of my life) Oldest fossil found of Arapaima is 140 MILLION YEARS OLD. Then we went to see sea angels! Sooo small sia hehehe i took a photo but you can't see them, so i shall not post it here OHAI PAUL! Can you tell me whether I will pass tmr's FOI exam? LOL There were divers in the tunnel! The girls were more interested in taking photos with the divers rather than with the fishes HAHAHAHAHA You see? Photo credit: Janessa Even the divers want to take photos Photo credit: Janessa FISHIES! Scary sharks DUGONG! The dugong is super cute! She was rescued near Pulau Ubin Photo credit: Janessa SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS WOULD LOVE THIS EXHIBIT HAHAHAHA Jelly fishes! Photo credit: Janessa Colourful Jelly Fishes! ![]() Critters of the Deep exhibit! This Giant Deep Sea Isopod looks disgusting, like a cockroach! It is found at depths of 1,000m off the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean Deep Sea Isopods! Then we ran to the bus because the bus was leaving without us hehehehe This event is the best event I have attended so far as a blogger because everything was just great! We were treated like VIPs and the activities were so fun and interesting. I felt very "welcomed" by the Ukulele performance, and the FunVee bus ride, and the Dolphin Show! And the organisers even went around and asked us whether everything is fine and if we need anything. I think event planners should learn from this event hehehe.. I only wished the event duration would be longer because I didn't want it to end so fast! I WANT TO SEE MORE FISHIIEESSS That's all, I have to study for FOI exam tomorrow!
