Here is the trailer of the short film called "AUGUST 29" that the nuffnangers got to watch last Saturday.
So basically the short clip was abt this girl, who made a surprise visit to her ex, James. They became really close again after that, but the guy didn't know that the girl had AIDS and she was dying. When he found out, he cried. The crying scene so real lah. And Sher cried! So emo. So the guy stuck to the girl till the end of her life. A very touching short film, and u guys must catch it! I feel honoured because i'm one of the first to catch it!
Facts abt Aids and HIV:
HIV stands for Human Immunodeficiency Virus. It is the virus that causes AIDS. AIDS stands for Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome.
AIDS is caused by the human immunodeficiency virus, or HIV. By killing or damaging cells of the body's immune system, HIV progressively destroys the body's ability to fight infections and certain cancers. People diagnosed with AIDS may get life-threatening diseases called opportunistic infections. These infections are caused by microbes such as viruses or bacteria that usually do not make healthy people sick.
THERE IS NO KNOWN CURE FOR AIDS. Although treatments for AIDS and HIV exist to decelerate the virus' progression, there is currently no known cure. So if you are careless and you get infected, then U WILL PROBABLY DIE. So be careful! I do not want any of my blogders to die from STDs.
HIV is transmitted through direct contact of a mucous membrane or the bloodstream with a bodily fluid containing HIV, such as blood, semen, vaginal fluid, preseminal fluid, and breast milk. I dont get people who anyhow have sex lor.. like all those one night stands, all those guys who goes geylang for pros. So STAY AWAY FROM THESE NONSENSE! Oh and btw, DON'T DO DRUGS! Because drug addicts share needles, and if the guy who used the needle before you have HIV, YOU WILL GET IT TOO!
Just like what Jessica said on her blog, "There's nothing wonderful about leading a promiscuous lifestyle... ( I loathe the sort ). Flirting is still somewhat acceptable, but would you really risk Death and Devastation just for the multiple orgasms? I think it's really _______ <(fill in the blank, ming said to be "sensitive" while blogging about this) to contract sexually transmitted diseases just because you choose to have 1 night stands, or if you visit prostitutes and such and such. It's a very good example for "you reap what you sow""
People with AIDS often have systemic symptoms of infection like fevers, sweats (particularly at night), swollen glands, chills, weakness, and weight loss. So if you, or anyone you know, have these symptoms, go to the doctor quickly! It always helps to visit the doctor early. (credits to wikipedia for the info)
